Christmas Day

Christmas Eve...

Early Christmas morning...

Santa has arrived.....

Opening stocking.. It was still dark outside. Our power went out for a few hours while we slept. Logan was the first up at what we thought was 4am. We told him to go back to bed for a few hours... a half hour went by and he was back again asking to get up. We finally gave in...only to find out it was not 4am but more like 7am! Guess we slept in after all....

X-Country Skiing

A Minnesota winter is not a winter unless there is x- country Skiing! Today was a perfect day to get out at the local park! The woods were so quiet .... I didn't know if the kids would ever get out, since our day started off on a search to find boots and skis to fit Logan. He out grew the ski boots from last year. Of corse the simple solution is to find a used pair of boots in size 3, but no such luck. We either had to #1 -pay $60 for new boots with the old type of bindings that is currently matches  the existing skis or #2 -get him the used boots (for new binders) and replace the old ski bindings w/ new ones. So we did option 2. Then had to pay for a ski season pass to the Dakota county parks. All in all, we spent around $100 for the kids to ski for 1 hour but I figure to make it worth our money,  Let's just hope the snow sticks around and its not too crazy cold to actually be outside.

Frozen Duck!

4 of our ducks decided to come back yesterday afternoon. Goofy was not one of them.
We had to buy 3 bails of hay and another water heater along with another 50pound bag of cracked corn. Our ducks did not fly south for the winter!! Well, maybe we will have lots of ducklings in the spring? Wonder what happened to our Goofy?

Snow Day....... No School!

Yippee! It's what we've been waiting for..Snow!

School is canceled for the day so along with it.. my work day is canceled!

Our plans for a day off... shovel, shovel, shovel
